My father, Benjamin W Kelleher Jr. served in the US Navy during World War II as a Radarman onboard the USS Dale W Peterson, DE 337.
He has saved a photo album containing images from his days in the US Navy. The pictures range in dates from 1942 through 1946. Most of the photographs are of his shipmates (1944-1945) and some are of his family and friends prior to and during his enlistment.
I have so enjoyed the time with my dad, looking at these images and listening to the stories of his days in the Navy, his shipmates and places they traveled to. This website has been created to share my father’s photographs, and stories with others who served in the US Navy during World War II and those who may have a connection to the USS Dale W. Peterson, DE-377.
